Training groups

Track & Field has a lot of disciplines. Vitalis offers training for all of those disciplines, except for race walking. To make this possible there are four different training groups:

  • Basic group led by Bart Slijper.
    This group is for those athletes that like run longer distances, both on the track, in the park or on the road.
  • Sprint group led by Huub Oldeman.
    This group is for the people with a passion for the short sprints. There are workouts for 100-400 meter runners.
  • Technical group led by Danny van Dijk.
    This is for people who are interested in the technical disciplines, like javelin, discus throw, long jump and high jump.
  • MD-groep led by Dirk Dijkstra.
    The Middle-Distance Group is meant for people who like to run 800-10.000 meter on the Track.
  • Introduction group led by Thijs Rood.
    This group will provide workouts to improve your endurance. Also, there is the possible to try all of the different disciplines. At the end you can choose to join an other training group.
